We Are Simple Yoga & Wellness Center Cooperative!

Simple Yoga was founded to provide a welcoming place where people of all levels can come explore, grow and laugh together. Yoga is a serious discipline, but it should also be fun!

What is a Cooperative?

Member owned and democratically controlled.

Surplus revenues are returned to members proportionate to use, not by membership share.

Exist solely to serve their members. Motivated to meet member’s needs for affordable, high quality goods and services. Not just to produce profits.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to co create a welcoming community rooted yoga studio that supports the integration of people, practices and principles.

We do this work by:

  • providing a financially and physically accessible yoga practice
  • engaging economically, racially, ethnically, religiously, and socially diverse communities to come together through
  • quality classes, workshops, trainings and volunteer opportunities
  • studio programming guided by community feedback and need
  • establishing community governed standards of conduct and accountability for both students and teachers
  • creative grassroots outreach and promotion
  • promoting and empowering emotional, physical, mental, and social health for all people who seek it
  • creating a space for yoga practices dedicated to supporting the well-being of underserved and special populations
  • supporting opportunities for merging creative expression and traditional yoga practices

Our success is measured by continued growth of active community members, accessibility of services to different social and economic groups, financial sustainability and direct community impact.
